Protein Sparing Cinnamon Rolls

This is such a delicious recipe for a day when you are protein sparing modified fasting. You can make these up ahead of time or enjoy them fresh out of the oven. I haven’t experienced any leftovers yet because they whole batch gets consumed (my kids absolutely love these) but I would imagine you can store these in a paper towel and then placed inside a ziplock baggie or food storage container.

Protein Sparing Cinnamon Rolls

Servings 4

Ingredients

  • 386 grams egg whites
  • 80 grams egg white protein powder
  • 2 tbsp BochaSweet keto sweetener
  • 2 tbsp Sweerve brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl add egg whites, Bochasweet (or your favorite powdered keto sweetener) and beat with a mixer until stiff peaks form. Add egg white protein powder and mix well.
I used an ice cream scoop (a large spoon would work as well) to scoop out 12 dollops of the egg white mixture onto the baking sheet.
In a small bowl melt butter, Swerve brown sugar and cinnamon. Scoop a 1/2 tsp or so and add to the egg white dollops. Mix or swirl if you want.
Sprinkle extra brown sugar and cinnamon on the top and bake in an oven for 15 minutes. Do not over bake!
