Keto Toast

This is a new favorite breakfast or lunch keto bread idea that doesn’t contain eggs! I found this keto bread recipe from The Diet Chef and it’s a home run recipe. I just made a small change and bumped up the protein powder since I’m always looking for ways to get my protein macros in. I am also learning other ways to use this recipe and today I made “egg mcmuffins” with this recipe.

Keto Toast

This is an easy keto bread recipe that I use whenever I want to make a sandwich or something that requires bread. This recipe was inspired from The Diet Chef and tweaked a tiny bit more for my taste.
Prep Time 1 minute
Cook Time 1 minute
Servings 2

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1 scoop unflavored whey protein powder (I use Perfect Keto)
  • 1/2 tsp bocasweet (or keto sweetener of your choice)
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp xantham gum
  • 1/4 tsp pink salt
  • 1/3 cup water

Guacamole Topping

  • 1 hass avocado mashed
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Mix all drey ingredients first in a small bowl. Then you'll want to find a microwave save bowl that it completely flat on the bottom. This shapes the bread so if you have a bump in the bowl it will have a bump shape when the bread is finishing cooking.
Next add the water to the dry ingredients and mix well. Add to a flat bottomed microwave safe bowl and microwave for 2 minutes.
I like to toast my bread so I use my air fryer. I line a pan with parchment paper and slice the bread into 4 horizontal pieces. Toast at 400 degrees for 4-5 minutes. This helps the bread hold together better and stand up to a sandwich.
Remove pit from avocado and scoop avocado into a small bowl. Add garlic, onion and salt & pepper and mash together. Spread half of the guacamole onto each piece of bread. Enjoy!
