Keto Roasted Pecans

So a lot of the store bought nuts contain unwanted ingredients like soybean oil and sugar. Plus, nuts cost a ton so why not make your own? This way you can control what goes in your tasty snacks. I buy my raw nuts from Costco because a 2 pound bag is around $12.99 which is very affordable compared to my local grocery stores.

Each serving of pecans is one ounce or 30 grams. Make these up ahead of time for easy keto snacks that are satisfying. I find if I don’t measure them out in single servings I’ll want to eat the whole bag so make sure you watch yourself! They are easy to over do and since they are calorie dense that could be an issue.

Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 20 minutes
Servings 30 1 oz servings

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds raw pecans
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted
  • pink salt to taste

Notes

Pre-heat your oven to 300 degrees.

Spread the bag of pecans on a baking sheet. Melt 4 tablespoons of butter (or fat of your choice), and drizzle over pecans. Add pink Himalayan sea salt and mix nuts with a large spatula so everything is evenly coated. Arrange the nuts evenly so all the nuts are exposed and laying flat.

Roast nuts in the oven for 10 mins. Remove and flip the nuts so they roast evenly on both sides. Add more salt to taste if needed. Place back in the oven for another 8-10 mins.

Once they cool down you should store in a air tight container. Viola!
