Keto Beef & Broccoli

This recipe is a recipe that can be made fairly quickly. It’s my recipe that I reach for when I’m in a rush or short on time. It’s packed with flavor and satisfies the soul. My mom and I were inspired by this recipe and but love to put our own take on it.

Keto Beef & Broccoli in the Instant Pot

Tasty and can be made fairly quickly for those days you're short on time but don't want takeout!

Cook Time 5 minutes
Servings 4


  • Instant Pot


  • 2 pounds top sirloin, sliced
  • 1 pound broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp xantham gum


  • 1/4 cup avocado oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/3 cup coconut aminos or gluten free soy sauce
  • 1 tsp grated ginger root
  • 4 stalks scallions, sliced
  • 1/2 tsp orange zest optional
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds optional
  • 1/2 tsp powdered keto sweetener (Swerve) optional
  • 2 tsp minced garlic


  • Make the marinade by mixing all ingredients together. Add sliced steak and add to marinade. Let marinade for at least 20-30 minutes.
    Set Instant Pot to saute and add steak. Cook slightly but not all the way through. Add the water and scallions but reserves some scallions for garnish. Place the steamer basket over the steak and add the broccoli florets. Cover and cook on high pressure for 5 minutes.
    Quick release and remove broccoli and beef from pot and set aside while you thicken the sauce. Put Instant Pot on saute. Once it is at a gentle boil whisk in the xantham gum. Give it a few minutes to thicken. Add broccoli and beef back to pot and mix.
    Divide into four servings and top with sesame seeds and scallions.
